What We’re Looking For

The Cybersecurity Tech Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing the technical aspects of the organization’s information security, acting as a key point of reference for both operational and strategic cyber defence activities. The role will work in close coordination with the Cyber Security Manager, the SOC, and the IT Security & Compliance functions, contributing to strengthening the overall security posture and technological infrastructure resilience.

Key Responsibilities

• Define, implement, and maintain technical protection measures to safeguard system security and ensure business continuity.
• Analyze and manage security incidents, overseeing the adoption of appropriate technical countermeasures.
• Manage vulnerabilities and Bug Bounty reports, and follow up on the results of VA/PT activities.
• Oversee third-party security assessments, ensuring risk evaluation of suppliers and adoption of appropriate mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with the Security Operations Center (SOC) for proactive threat monitoring and alert management.
• Provide technical support to the IT team, contributing to the design of secure architectures.
• Support the maintenance of certifications such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.
• Assist in creating communications and training materials on security awareness for employees.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Experience in cybersecurity with a focus on hardening, monitoring, and incident response.
• Familiarity with common security technologies (e.g., firewall, antivirus, SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS) at a theoretical or academic level.
• Knowledge of cloud security (Azure, AWS).
• Proficiency with major operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and TCP/IP networks.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields.

Soft Skills and Attitude

• Strong passion and curiosity for cybersecurity.
• Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and results orientation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, including in non-technical contexts.
• English language proficiency (B2 level or higher).

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree or postgraduate studies in cybersecurity-related fields.
• Internship, thesis, or academic projects in information security.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, DORA, NIS2).

• Our offices are based in Cremona, Via dell’Innovazione Digitale 3, and in Milan, Via Lambertenghi 7.

Type of contract

• This is a 6-months full-time internship position.
• Compensation: 800€ per month
