Overall Purpose of The Job

• General management role supporting the Managing Director in driving business transformation and achieving quality and business target for decarbonisation, projects and new builds areas.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

Business Management

• Responsible for the activities of operations to ensure it operates safely, effectively and efficiently in the provision of management services required.
• Responsible that assigned jobs are executed to the highest standard with absolute regard to safety and protection of environment.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reporting using Group systems and procedures
• Providing forecasting support, budgeting, operational/financial KPIs
• Responsible for the overall job lifecycle from quotation to invoicing.
• Supporting the development, review and the implementation of the business strategic planning, including sales, financial performance and new services/project development.
• Augment business efficacy with targeted support, providing deeper analytical back-up and craft solutions to improve operational efficiencies
• Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Support business to design, pilot and launch new services to increase Seatecs offerings, including potential partnerships with external companies
• Identify new innovation opportunities and operational efficiencies to drive revenue, margin and profit growth.
• Ensure that all relevant management processes, procedures and systems are in place and executed according to the relevant standards and expectations.
• Responsible for reporting any issues that affect, or may affect, the safety, environmental or operational performance of assigned jobs

Technical

• Ensure quality of services and client satisfaction
• Develop services to match client requirements and market key driver
• Provide technical advice in operational matters to support decision making
• Maintain and develop third party network and vet the quality processes

Client Relationship Management

• Responsible for ensuring an effective working relationship between operations and its clients.
• Through a pro-active approach ensure open and transparent communications and provide a high level of client satisfaction.
• Pro-actively identify and share continuous improvement opportunities in client portfolio and to support business development and cross-selling opportunities.
• Keep up to date on all V. Group Services and products and guide and advise all team members on the latest V. Group products and services relevant to specific clients as well as establish and maintain effective formal and informal relationships with internal suppliers and service providers.

People Management

• Responsible for ensuring the recruitment of the right team members ensuring that the business unit is adequately staffed and that satisfactory levels of competence and experience are available to meet changing demands and priorities.
• Actively promote and support the development, cohesion and productivity of the team.
• Provide meaningful and timely performance appraisals that give transparent and clear performance feedback, including identification of training & development requirements,

Essential

• Master Degree in Naval architecture and Marine Engineering
• Technical knowledge of repairs and inspection business
• Business acumen and focus on financial performance as well as value creation
• Minimum 2 years work experience in similar role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skills to evaluate the business and develop solutions
• Ability to collaborate independently with teams from different business units and locations
• Presentation and visual communication skills
